Hi Quality Group - Sunbury Quarry

Project summary:

DPG have been engaged by Hi Quality to assist in the positioning of their significant landholdings located within the Sunbury Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) located to Melbourne’s north-west. Currently consisting of a quarry and landfill, our inputs include all aspects of strategic and statutory planning so as to ensure that maximum value is retained within the site throughout and following the conclusion of the urban redevelopment process. Key to realising this significant development opportunity is the ability to seamlessly integrate employment, commercial, industrial and residential opportunities within the one PSP. This approach has allowed our client to leverage a redevelopment opportunity that is unique in the context of other PSP’s currently being undertaken across Melbourne.

High Quality Site Inspection

Donnybrook Joint Venture - Shenstone Precinct Structure Plan

Project summary:

DPG have been engaged by the Donnybrook Joint Venture (DJV) to facilitate the formation of the “Shenstone” PSP within Melbourne’s Northern Growth Corridor.  The DJV comprises two major urban development groups, namely Villa World and CVC who successfully acquired approximately 220 Ha of land located in Donnybrook Road, Donnybrook in late 2014.  DPG have worked closely with both the Metropolitan Planning Authority and the City of Whittlesea in order to achieve a successful development outcome which has added significant value to the acquisition.   Our involvement is based upon a sound understanding of the planning merits of the site, surrounding infrastructure and the financial and lifestyle benefits to be derived by the wider community once development proceeds.

Shenstone PSP

Development Site Transactions

Project summary:

At Dominion Property Group (DPG) we apply an in-depth understanding of the planning and property market in order to identify short, medium and long term development opportunities.  In doing so we consistently identify superior development opportunities both within and outside of Melbourne’s key growth corridors. 

Throughout this process we work closely with both landowners and prospective purchasers on a discreet basis.  Our approach is based upon a solid understanding of the development constraints and opportunities relevant to individual sites.  This is further informed by strong working relationships with representatives in all areas of government inclusive of infrastructure agencies.

Our approach seeks to “de-risk” the land transaction process so as to maximise the opportunity for property settlement within desired timeframes.

Redevelopment Site

Department of Treasury and Finance - Public Land Rezoning

Project summary:

DPG have been engaged by the Department of Treasury and Finance, (DTF) to assist with the rezoning of land deemed surplus to the operational requirements of the Victorian government and its related government agencies.  In undertaking this role DPG is well placed to provide DTF with timely accurate and responsive amendment documentation designed to add significant value to the Victorian Governments’ existing asset base.  Our involvement builds upon a sound understanding of the Victorian planning system and related legislation.  We pride ourselves on our ability to interface successfully with all levels of government, inclusive of state agencies so as to facilitate desired land use outcomes.

VicRoads - Echuca-Moama Bridge Environment Effects Statement

Project summary:

DPG were engaged by VicRoads to assist in the delivery of the Echuca Bridge Environment Effects Statement (EES).  The project involved a detailed assessment of the environmental, economic and social benefits likely to be achieved as a result of a new road and pedestrian bridge being constructed across the Murray River in northern Victoria so as to link the townships of Echuca and Moama.  Our involvement was based upon a sound understanding of the technical and legislative requirements necessary to prepare and deliver a successful EES in addition to our ability to successfully manage and co-ordinate specialist project inputs so as to achieve agreed and properly considered project outcomes.

VicRoads - Beaufort & Ararat Bypasses

Project summary:

DPG were engaged by VicRoads to assist them directly in the management of the Beaufort and Ararat Bypass Project.  The project involves the identification of a suitable alignment for a new freeway standard road bypass of both townships located in regional Victoria.

Working closely with the client, DPG were able to provide direct assistance in all areas of project management, co-ordination and delivery.  Our inputs are based upon a sound understanding of the technical and legislative requirements necessary to prepare and deliver a successful EES in addition to our ability to successfully manage and co-ordinate specialist project inputs so as to achieve agreed and properly considered project outcomes.

Beaufort

Oakdene Estate

Project summary:

DPG have been engaged by Belpen Developments to provide town planning assistance, project co-ordination and approvals advice in relation to the ongoing staged release of residential land within the Oakdene Estate.

Services comprise:

  • Negotiations with Government Agencies;

  • Co-ordination of related project specialists; and

  • preparation of approvals documentation.

Project summary:

The assessment of development opportunities is complex and requires consideration of number of inter related factors.  These include:

  •          Agency Considerations;
  •          Land Ownership Patterns;
  •          Planning Policy and Strategy;
  •          Cultural Heritage Considerations;
  •          Infrastructure Servicing requirements;

Telstra - Development Facilitation and Approvals

Project summary:

DPG have been engaged by Telstra Corporation, (Telstra) to assist with the delivery of various planning and development approvals across regional Victoria.  By engaging DPG, Telstra have been provided with greater planning certainty whilst at the same time managing community and Local Government expectations.    Our involvement is based upon a sound understanding of the Victorian planning system and the need to provide critical public infrastructure in a timely and cost effective basis.

Jasbe Petroleum - Planning Assessments

Project summary:

DPG has been engaged by Jasbe Petroleum to undertake a number of related projects. These include a due diligence review of interstate petroleum facilities as part of a pre purchase program and a review of potential sites which may be suitable for future redevelopment. Our inputs have been sought due to our broad appreciation of the interrelating factors that combine to drive development opportunities. These include existing and proposed infrastructure provision, environmental factors and commercial requirements.
